Clear View Eye Care is Hiring an Optician Near Indianapolis, IN

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring their vision needs are met. Your knowledge of optical products and excellent customer service skills will contribute to the success of our practice.

Duties:
- Assist customers in selecting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescription and personal preferences
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes, including pupillary distance and frame size
- Adjust frames to ensure proper fit and comfort for customers
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Process orders for eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical products
- Perform basic repairs and adjustments on eyewear as needed
- Maintain inventory of optical products and supplies
- Keep accurate records of customer prescriptions and transactions

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as an Optician is preferred
- Proven experience working as an Optician or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of optical products, including frames, lenses, and contact lenses
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to optometry and ophthalmology
- Proficiency in medical billing systems and retail sales systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
